The new Mazda CX-5 of the third generation is under development and will be presented in the coming years. Information about the new generation of the model appeared in Mazda's development plan for 2025-2027.
It is during this period that the new Mazda CX-5 should be presented. Earlier, information appeared that the crossover will debut at the end of 2025, and its sales will begin in early 2026.
The documentation states that the new Mazda CX-5 will receive a hybrid modification. It should be noted that the electrified installation will be developed independently, and not borrowed from Toyota, as in the case of the Mazda CX-50.
In addition, it is reported that the Mazda CX-5 crossover will receive four-cylinder gasoline engines of the new generation Skyactiv-Z, which will replace the previous Skyactiv-G engines.
They will be distinguished by better thermal efficiency due to the burning of a lean fuel mixture in the cylinders. This will allow reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions and meeting Euro-7 standards.
It also became known that Mazda plans to optimize the CX-5 line, due to which the number of versions and configurations of the model will be reduced, as the main emphasis, as already mentioned, will be the new hybrid.
