The cost of Ukraine's recovery could reach approximately $588 billion over 10 years, according to a World Bank (WB) report. It was prepared jointly by the WB, the UN, the European Commission and the Ukrainian government.

According to estimates as of December 31, 2025, “the full cost of Ukraine's recovery would be nearly $588 billion over 10 years“. This amount is “almost three times Ukraine's nominal GDP in 2025“, the report notes.

The document provides estimates that recovery costs in the transport sector could reach $96 billion, in the energy sector – about 91 billion USD, in the residential sector – about 90 billion USD, in the commercial and industrial sector – over 63 billion USD, and in the agricultural sector – over 55 billion USD. Demining may also require up to 28 billion USD, the report's authors note.
