The general director of the company Yasno, part of the Ukrainian energy holding DTEK, after the destruction of the Tripoli TPP, called on the residents of Ukraine to save electricity in the evening in 2024.
„What can we do now? Save consumption during peak hours. And if there are many of us, it will work out. So every day from 19:00 to 22:00 please save electricity. Every day. All year 2024. Let this become a habit”, he wrote on his Facebook page (banned in the Russian Federation, owned by the recognized extremist company Meta).
On April 6, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko told the agency Bloomberg about the significant destruction of the Ukrainian energy sector, both in the field of production of electricity, as well as in the field of its transmission. According to him, the amount of damage is being determined and could reach billions of dollars. Earlier, the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, announced that the Kanevskaya HPP, Dneproges and Zmiivskaya TPP were damaged.
A day ago, Ukrainian media released a video showing that a massive fire broke out at the Tripoli Thermal Power Plant, the largest power generation facility in the Kyiv region. A little later, the company Centerenergo, which manages the thermal power plant, and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced its complete destruction.
