First case ofmeasles has been registered in our country at the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (NCCPD), the BNR reported.
The case is from Sofia and was confirmed at the end of last week in the national reference laboratory for measles, mumps and rubella, the laboratory informed BNR.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Regional Health Inspectorate announced that they are starting a campaign to immunize children without a personal doctor and with missed immunizations and re-immunizations against measles, mumps and rubella.
Vaccines will be placed in the immunization office for inspection from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.
