Ivaylo Valchev: The vacation of the deputies is one of the insanities created by the "great fathers" of the Constitution - 1

„Voting on the vacation of the deputies is one of the insanities , created by the Constitution created by these “great fathers of the Constitution”. Because we first created a parliament that works until the next one comes into force. They adopted a Constitution in which there is a working Parliament and then their first job was to go on vacation and themselves denounce the Constitution they adopted. That there will be a possibility of control is strongly said – especially in the part about extraordinary sittings and written questions to ministers. In my opinion, going on vacation was precisely to avoid being controlled. Parliamentary control is a rather weak form of control with this written questioning of ministers. And the committees are convened by the Speaker of the National Assembly. The possibility is theoretically there, but practically there is no way for this to happen”.

This was stated to NOVA by ITN MP Ivaylo Valchev.

„The Constitutional Court will ultimately say what will be and what will not be. In my opinion, precisely the part with the functioning of the caretaker governments – as described in the Constitution created by PP-DB, will be rejected. Either way, what happens will happen. Shame will be chosen. He will retroactively not return. He who has exposed himself will have exposed himself. In the end, the line is drawn and the conclusion is “All those over there are doing stupid things and are of no use”, emphasized Valchev.

And he added: “Our thesis from the beginning was to maintain this situation, where the moment the election campaign starts, the parliament is dissolved, goes on recess and anyone who wants – he is going to produce his own elections”.
