Yemeni authorities ask merchant ship to change course in Red Sea near the coasts of Yemen.
The request to change course occurred when the ship was 57 nautical miles southwest of Aden.
Details of the incident have not been released.
Earlier last night, the US and Great Britain launched a series of airstrikes against military facilities of the "Ansar Allah" movement. of the Houthis located in the Yemeni capital Sana'a controlled by them, a source from the movement, quoted by BTA, told TASS.
"American and British forces launched three strikes in Sana'a on Saturday night, attacking military bases and weapons depots in several neighborhoods of the city, the source said. According to him, the planes had entered the airspace of Yemen.
The TASS source refused to give details about the consequences of the attack, including possible victims and wounded.
Following the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip, the pro-Iranian Houthi movement has warned that it will bombard Israeli territory and prevent Israeli-affiliated ships from passing through the waters of the Red Sea and the Bab el Mandeb Strait until the operation in the Palestinian enclave ends. Since November last year, the Houthis have attacked dozens of civilian ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
