On May 8, Petar Bochukov, one of the most famous international journalists, a long-time member of the SBJ, died. His hundreds of publications are marked by a non-standard talent, accuracy and rich professional knowledge of world processes, with an honest position and responsibility towards the readers, noted the SBZ.
And Petar Bochukov was able to draw generalizations about big politics from seemingly insignificant events. It is to his credit that the readers of even the British "Times" through his articles published there, to learn more about Bulgaria.
He was born on September 2, 1938 in Shiroka Laka, Smolyansko, and throughout his life he kept the spirit of the Rhodopes.
Almost his entire professional destiny is connected with the “Worker's case“ and then with v. “Duma“. He was a correspondent in Berlin and then in London.
He was deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper during the time of Stefan Prodev. An incredible friend, a great and good person, the soul of the team, a welcome guest at every gathering with colleagues, respected by specialists in international topics.
A man lives as long as he is remembered. Petar Bochukov will always be remembered with bright feelings by the people who knew him or followed his articles. We are not saying goodbye to him.
