The position of the State Road Safety Authority is that the project for the new marking in the center of Sofia on "Patriarch Evtimiy" Blvd. has not been properly agreed. As of 8:00 a.m., no document has yet been submitted by the Metropolitan Municipality to the "Traffic Police". Commissioner Nikolay Krusharski, head of the "Traffic Police" department, said this to BNT. in SDVR.
According to him, the markings, additional facilities at the stops, bicycle lanes, etc., should be reviewed according to the project. It will take at least one month for the engineers of SDVR to familiarize themselves with the project and give an adequate and competent opinion, Krusharski specified.
We remind you that according to current legislation, the project must be submitted for approval to the "Traffic Police" department. with the relevant sketches and drawings with the markings, the sign farm and the additional facilities on the roadway, news.bg pointed out. This requirement is established in Ordinance No. RD-02-20-2 of 24.10.2022 of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which determines the procedure for organizing traffic on roads open to public use.
The traffic organization project must go through a conciliation procedure before it is legalized. At the moment, however, this condition has not been fulfilled by the Metropolitan Municipality.
