"Velichie" came as a surprise to people who refused to see what was going on in the country. This is what he said in the show "The Day Live" according to NovaNews Viktoria Vasileva from the "Greatness" party, quoted by novini.bg
The manipulators told us a sugar-coated tale about how everything is fine in Bulgaria, but these are people who refused to go down to the people to see how much hidden anger there is and how they are disappointed that politicians promise them one thing and do else, she declared.
We had no other election campaign than meeting the people – there was no meeting shorter than three and a half hours. The halls were packed. People are angry, above all, at the politicians' attitude towards them, towards their problems. For a long time, the agenda of the National Assembly has had nothing to do with their agenda. People are interested in why health care, education, why incomes are so low, why they have no security. People are not satisfied that the priority of the last prime ministers is Ukraine, and not their own people, Vasileva pointed out.
Party "Majesty" is anything but a business project. We are the voice of people's discontent. We have made commitments to shed light on governance processes, to bring out the truth on some issues, and to make efforts to find partnerships with other political forces to advance things in Bulgaria's interest – revision of the Green Deal, construction of the "Belene" NPP, changes in health care that can lead to more than three times cheaper medicines, she noted.
Asked about the attitude of the new party towards NATO and the European Union, Viktoria Vasileva commented: "Our position is that foreign policy is not a problem for Bulgaria, it is not membership in NATO and the European Union that creates problems for us, we create ourselves. During our meetings, people asked us when we will leave the European Union and NATO. For us, the fact that we are in the European Union is not a problem, the problem is that many politicians in our country use the European Union to justify their actions. The same goes for NATO. As for Ukraine, we believe that Bulgaria's role should be that of a peacemaker. Our country can be the natural way between East and West to achieve peace. We would not support further military aid to Ukraine because we believe you cannot put out a fire with gasoline.
She defined as absurd the question whether from "Greatness" would support the cabinet of GERB and DPS: "During the campaign, we brought to the fore the outrages of Borisov and Peevski. No participation in such a configuration is an option for us. Then let's see who will offer what because no one has put anything on the table".
Whatever the proposed cabinet, it is clear from all subsequent actions after the elections that these people only talk about responsibility, but do not dare to take it. If a cabinet is formed, it will be highly dependent on the will of Borisov and Peevski. But I think that these people have no interest in governing and taking responsibility for difficult decisions that Bulgaria faces, Vasileva also said.
