This was stated by the interim chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov in the studio of "Offensive with Ljubo Ognyanov".
He assumed the post after an almost unanimous decision of the National Council of the party following the resignation of Cornelia Ninova.
Zafirov recalled that he worked side by side in the BSP leadership. "We had successes, but we also made mistakes with Ninova. The election results were disastrous, and she took responsibility. We are now following established procedure. In the coming months, we will give an accurate assessment of the work of the previous management. All the results are bad, we need to conduct a thoughtful election for a new president. There is no coup, only normal party procedures," he added.
Zafirov answered the question of whether he plans to run for president by saying that "it is not on the agenda at the moment.
According to him, Ninova "conducted an attempt to hold a meeting of the coalition council, in which there was no quorum and it was illegitimate". "I was not present either, it is not clear how he conducted himself. The decision for Svilenski to be the chairman of the PG is not legitimate. We will discuss that one should be Borislav Gutsanov. A few hours after they received an SMS that the meeting of the National Council would be on June 15, a new one came - that it would be on the 23rd. It was not clear why this happened," he explained.
