The municipal councilor from PP-DB -"Save Sofia" Boris Bonev stated that there was an impudent attempt to vote the citizens in the "Ilinden" area. to be replaced, and the activity of the mayor of Emil Branchevsky is being sabotaged, BNT reports. He defined as the culmination of this act the false, in his words, establishment of a company in the name of the mayor of the region in Great Britain.
The mayor of the region, for his part, stated that yesterday the regional administration received a notification from the OIC, which described two signals based on which it is claimed that he is in violation of the law - for establishing of a company and to continue working with a hospital in Germany.
Branchevski dismissed as untenable the complaint about the accusation that he still performs labor activities as a doctor in Germany and that he has a contract with a hospital where he has not worked since 2019. As for the allegations that he has disclosed a company in Great Britain stated that it had notified the competent authorities back in March. And he believes that the company was created without his knowledge and consent by stealing his personal data. He filed reports with the prosecution and the responsible institutions in Great Britain.
"The OIC aims to serve a specific interest and to replace the vote of the citizens with my removal", said Branchevsky.
The mayor of "Ilinden" is confident that the reason for his requested removal is due to the fact that he revealed abuses of public procurement, distribution of housing to former employees in the administration and financial abuses with the awarding of repairs in the "Ilinden" area.
Boris Bonev added that they have no doubt who is the guarantor of this plan and that the GERB party cannot survive the loss of the "Ilinden" region.
Bonev called on GERB not to use the institutions as clubs to achieve their narrow party goals and interests and warned: "not to turn out that their 98 mayors elected in the last local elections are with registered companies in Great Britain and sharply fall into incompatibility. Lest it turn out that some property-owning Bulgarian citizen registers 98 companies in Great Britain, with which the star mayors of GERB, such as the mayor of Burgas, the mayor of Stara Zagora, suddenly find themselves in incompatibility and the relevant OICs act according to the same tertype as act with Dr. Branchevsky - remove them."
According to Bonev, the OIC is used for political purposes to remove inconvenients, for revanchism and to replace the voters' vote.
