Adv. Velislav Velichkov: Forming a new cabinet does not mean that it will be permanent - 1

From GERB-SDS they propose Raya Nazaryan for the Speaker of the National Assembly. PP-DB and BSP have already come out with a position that they will not support it.

"Raia Nazaryan is relatively new to politics. A good student of Desislava Atanasova, but I do not remember her participation in the Law Commission or in the plenary hall with anything distinguished as legal expertise, I am also not convinced of her organizational and administrative qualities. So far, she has not held a leadership position in the parliament or in the parliamentary group. We'll see, apparently this is Boyko Borisov's personal choice," said lawyer Velislav Velichkov in "The Day ON AIR".
The formation of a new cabinet does not mean that it will be permanent, it is imperative to elect a chairman of the National Assembly, according to Velichkov.

"It will be a false start for the National Assembly if a chairman is not elected again tomorrow. We have already seen this movie and it was a tragicomedy. I don't think they can test themselves with something like that. And if we have a cabinet, it will be a perishable fruit of incredible compromises, deals and unprincipled agreements. It's always about money and influence when there are no ideological similarities between those who make up a majority behind a certain government," added the expert from the "Justice for Everyone" initiative. for Bulgaria ON AIR.
The future of the PP-DB coalition is unclear after the resignation of Hristo Ivanov and the absence of other political figures from the group, the lawyer is categorical.

"This is a dignified act and normal in this very heavy loss of the PP-DB coalition. When you lack the entire leadership team, who will make the decisions, how the group of "Democratic Bulgaria" will form its policies and how it will implement them is a very interesting question. "Without Hristo Ivanov and Atanas Slavov, legal expertise drops significantly," commented the guest.

According to him, when changing the texts in the basic law, all parties will have to participate.

"If it comes to opening the Constitution, everyone will feel obliged to participate in the new editing of the texts. If the Constitutional Court gives some guidelines in the reasons and they have to comply with them, those who were behind the project will be morally and politically committed to participate in the writing of the new texts as well. It is possible to collect 160 votes in case of a possible negative decision of the Central Committee for the changes, Velichkov added.
