The MPs voted for three candidates for the Speaker of the National Assembly in their first plenary day. GERB's candidacy Raya Nazaryan received 114 votes out of the required 121. According to the Constitution, 121 votes are necessary for the adoption of a decision by the parliament.
A motion for a re-vote followed, which did not significantly change things - Nazaryan received 116 votes, only from GERB, DPS and one from ITN
