Petyo Tsekov: There is a block in the parliament that is against Peevski, against Borisov, but this block is not united - 1

"I expect that Borisov will entrust someone, for example to Rosen Zhelyazkov, to form the government. Such a government will be written on paper, it will be proposed for a vote in the parliament, and whether it will really pass depends not on the public conversations at the moment.

This is what Petyo Tsekov - journalist and deputy editor-in-chief of the electronic publication “Sega” said for BNR.

“A minority government is an option. We should not forget that Borisov ruled this country for several terms, and GERB never had such a majority that would guarantee him full power.

I'm not too sure that “Majesty” in the next election he will enter the parliament for the simple reason that now his result is the result of low voter turnout. They will seriously consider whether to seek to destroy this Parliament or to support something.

BSP is in the process of splitting. "Revival" they do not know if more electoral power will flow from them to “Greatness” or something like that. Everyone is hesitating about what will happen in the next election, so there are chances that they will change their minds and support someone temporarily until a government is formed, and then try to influence them in some way.

Obviously there is some arm wringing going on. The little ones see that Borisov is not in a position where he can dictate the conditions. On the other hand, they should think very carefully whether it is good to go to the elections or not to go, because the elections also carry risk. All of those unknowns certainly count at this point. Only then will it be clear whether we are going to vote. At this moment, it seems that the accounts are like this - "Let's find 5-6 people”.

According to Tsekov, a cabinet with the third mandate is also impossible.

"There is a block in the parliament that is against Peevski, against Borisov, but this block is not united. “Revival” somehow carries some stigma. There is no way a party from the EPP can contact them.

"Since February, when the assembly failed with a crash, even though there was every indication that it would not fail, that there would be another “power rotation”, I don't think we should make any predictions because everyone politicians are so illogical", comments Tsekov.

Regarding Borisov's claims that changes are needed in the electoral system, Tsekov commented:

"I am impressed by this overwhelming desire to follow some Greek electoral model. For the third time, it seems that we are going to change the Constitution to a Greek model. We took the mandatory vote from them, but it doesn't work for them either. Then we took the model with the office prime ministers - a typical Greek model. And this model definitely does not work.

Yesterday Borisov talked about the “bonus deputies”, which in Greece are obtained if a party passes 25%. At the moment, I just want to remind you that GERD does not have 25%. If the Greek option is taken in Bulgarian conditions, it will not go because the first political party must have at least 25% to get 20 deputies bonus. In my opinion, this system of people is basically bad because it distorts representation. We vote for some people, and we get some other people - a “bonus” who were not elected".

"Who is going to change this Constitution right now, when these people in Parliament cannot get together to cast a government, let alone change the Constitution. This is a bit of an exaggerated statement by Borisov," the journalist summed up.

What course did the DPS take in the consultations with the president:

“Here we can return to the question of why Peevski was not there yesterday. Maybe they're playing "good cop and bad cop" there too. DPS never had any worries about new elections. They will continue to have no worries. They are simply calling for Radev to exert some influence, which is also a bit of a foreign procedural form to me - how can the head of state influence the political parties. What exactly is expected of him? Radev should not take actions to construct a regular government. They officially don't let him construct, but now they want regularly”.

For the third mandate in the hands of one of the smaller parties:

"This is in the realm not of science, but of fairytale fiction, which rests on no reality. "There is such a people” already played 2 years ago a similar scene. You remember there was a seller of scuba diving and other things...".
