Plamen Abrovski: Our anti-city system is old - 1

"For the last three years - we have each had a tragedy. This will continue. Our anti-hail system was made in 1970. At that time the climate was different. The climate is changing. Temperatures will rise more and more. When a hail cloud forms, only then does the launching of rackets begin. "No one works preventively", said agricultural law lawyer Plamen Abrovski in the program "The Day ON AIR".

In his words, the state chooses to pay benefits instead of investing in a new system. He explained that the precipitation also has a secondary effect - water is introduced into the soil, and this is extremely important for farmers.

"We need a regular government, sustainability, creation of common priorities. I hope that the next regular Minister of Agriculture will commit to a complete change of the concept of urban protection in Bulgaria. The clouds we release them fall in Romania. They steal our water through the clouds. No one works with the cloud in advance - it will not fall as much hail as an orange, but it will fall as much as a walnut", commented Abrovski to Bulgaria ON AIR.

He stressed that it was absolutely imperative that the system change.

"First of all, where the airplanes that break the clouds fly, the state must allocate BGN 10 million to start an experiment. They do this all over the world - in Italy, Israel, South Africa. Climate is the future, not money. If we do not change our attitude towards the climate, we will see how the Thracian lowland will turn into a semi-desert", warned Abrovski.

He explained that there is no problem in the work of the Hail Agency, but in the system that dates back to the 1970s. Abrovski said that only 3 cm of snow is equal to about 10 million cubic liters of water, which will enter the water supply areas of Bulgaria.
