Traditionally, in the month of August, dangerous phenomena appear in the sea - dead waves and sologan (when the wind creates large underwater waves). This year, however, they have sprung up and for several days a red flag has been placed at the lifeguard posts on the beach in Burgas. According to the signage, entering the sea is prohibited as there is a strong disturbance. Why is the sea this year unusually dangerous already at the beginning of the summer season?
The sea looks calm at the moment, but it doesn't stay that way all day. The excitement in recent days has reached 3 points, which is equivalent to two-meter waves, dangerous especially for small children, but also for adults, as the waves crash with great force on the shore. The dangerous phenomenon of sologan also appeared.
"On the sixth day, the sea is stormy, there is a dead wave and a roaring sound," said Petar Rusev - senior lifeguard in Burgas, reported BNT.
