Unfortunately, today one of the Bulgarian offices was used for political use. Instead of listening to Prime Minister Glavchev about the number of shifts in the offices, we heard a series of suggestions about what might have happened with the participation of Gen. Atanasov and my adviser. Suggestions were made that someone had committed crimes and should resign. On May 27, 2024, the prosecutor's office refused to open a pre-trial proceeding based on a reported report because there was no criminal record. The entire political theater that we saw today, with the passing of the ball between GERB, DPS, "Vazrazhdane" and ITN, is an attempt to discredit us. Unfortunately, the Bulgarian services are also involved in this attack. This shows why we want reforms of these services, and the other parties led by GERB and DPS oppose these reforms.
This was stated at a briefing in the parliament by the chairman of the PG of the PP-DB and former prime minister Academician Nikolay Denkov, on the occasion of today's hearings in the parliament of the chairmen of DANS and "Military Intelligence", quoted by novini.bg.
"DANS is used as a club against civil activists, experts and doctors who defend the idea of a National Children's Hospital. This was the reason why today we listened to Plamen Tonchev, who failed to explain why DANS is interrogating civil activists. All the questions that are asked to them have absolutely nothing to do with the children's hospital. They were not provided with the signal filed by the "Trade League". For us, this is a huge violation of the human and constitutional rights of citizens. In this sense, we demand the resignation of Mr. Tonchev as the chairman of DANS", announced Elisaveta Belobradova for her part.
"I feel like we've teleported somewhere back in time - 1988. Then, if you don't keep the covenants of the party, they send you State Security. This is complete outrage. DANS calling civil activists and interrogating them is an absolute disgrace. DANS is a political club of GERB and DPS. Regarding "Military Intelligence" it is about Vanev's SMS sent to five people. He did not say anything about the authorship, but in the SMS it is clear that the one who wants to reform the services should be stopped, said Gen. Atanas Atanasov.
"Currently, there are anti-European parties in the National Assembly - "Revival". They make fake news and attack with it. It is such fake news that they talked to us about a government. There are also pro-corruption parties - GERB and DPS. And they attacked. However, this makes us special because we are the only ones in this parliament who are strongly pro-European and strongly anti-corruption. We will defend these positions of ours, regardless of the attacks," Kiril Petkov was categorical.
