The Russian Church has waged a struggle in Bulgaria and it is not from today. It is a struggle against the Patriarchate of Constantinople, which expresses the unity of the Orthodox Church. Her worship is basic – as first among equals and sometimes as first without equals. The Moscow Patriarchate wants to remove this first and stand in his place, but not as the first between equals and the right of appeal, but as a new Eastern Pope, accusing the opponent of his enemies.
This is what Archimandrite Nicanor told NOVA NEWS.
About Daniil's election as Bulgarian patriarch, Archimandrite Nikanor said that he thought it was “the most extreme of one side” and that his figure will portend division and escalation. And he added that it was precisely for this reason that he submitted his resignation. “But the man extended his hand to me, he showed that he is not for division, but for unification,”, Nicanor said. “His actions justified my expectations”, the clergyman also explained. He specified that Daniel's steps would perhaps provide the basis for unity.
Archimandrite Nicanor submitted an application to leave the BOC, the patriarch returned his resignation
„Let's not blame others, the world conspiracy. The problem of the Bulgarians is that we cannot get out of the spiral of the political crisis, because we do not vote according to moral criteria, but according to bias, interests, propaganda. We don't vote for honest people. When we see a politician lying, we must turn our backs on him. And when we continue to support him, how do we want to have progress and good politicians. If you don't put common human virtues as criteria for politicians, you will never have good government. Bulgaria can get out of the crisis. "Don't vote for a person who lied to you," said Archimandrite Nicanor.
