Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev sent a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, which finalizes the nomination procedure of a candidate for European Commissioner from Bulgaria. This was announced by the press service of the cabinet, quoted by Nova TV.
The Prime Minister's correspondence is in response to a letter from Mrs. Von der Leyen, in which she thanked the Bulgarian government for two candidacies and, after interviews with the candidates, requested Prime Minister Glavchev to officially name Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva as the only Bulgarian candidate.
