In connection with the significantly increased crossings through the border crossing “Kulata“ and checkpoint “Makaza“ due to the large number of Romanian tourists traveling to and from Greece, the State Police recommends the use of alternative checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Greek border, which are less busy and allow faster passage.
Tourists traveling to resorts in the area of Thessaloniki, Kavala and the Halkidiki Peninsula can pass through the border point “Ilinden” as an alternative to “The Tower”. FACTS reminds that the road between Gotse Delchev and Bansko is still being repaired. Drivers should drive with caution.
