The MPs finally adopted the changes to the Law on Advocacy. With them, the mandatory minimum amount of the lawyer's fee is removed, after the European Union court accepted this as a restriction of competition, BNR reported.
An ordinance of the Minister of Justice, on the proposal of the Supreme Bar Council, will regulate the criteria for exemplary attorney's fees.
The ban on advertising legal services and the use of intermediaries to recruit clients is removed.
In advertising their activities, lawyers may not disclose information about past or present clients unless they have their express permission to do so.
