The price of water in Sofia will rise by 20 percent from October - this proposal of "Sofia Water" will be discussed in the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation.
If the proposal is accepted, the water supply service in the capital will cost BGN 3.52 including VAT.
The regulator claims that the new price will be nearly three times lower than that determined as socially acceptable for Sofia, and water will remain one of the cheapest in the country.
Proposed by "Sofia Voda" a business plan on which water service prices depend must be approved by the regulator on September 30 and take effect from October 1.
