The specialized paper for the machine voting ballots for the upcoming parliamentary elections on October 27 meets the requirements of the CEC. This was assured by the printing house of the BNB.
"In connection with media publications and statements regarding whether the delivered paper for the elections meets the requirements, “BNB Printing Office“ AD confirms that it has correctly fulfilled its obligations regarding the delivery of the specialized paper for machine voting ballots and that it meets the requirements set by the CEC and the manufacturer of the voting machines – “Smartmatic International Holding B.V.“, the printing house states in a letter to the media.
"The parameters of the specialized paper for machine voting are indicated in every public order for elections in the Republic of Bulgaria. Samples of the delivered paper were provided to the CEC before signing a contract for the execution of the public order, accompanied by a manufacturer's certificate and a test report in an independent accredited laboratory," the printing house added.
