The Central Election Commission (CEC) left without consideration the documents surrounding the registration of the two wings of the DPS - around Jevdet Chakarov and around Delyan Peevski, related to their demands, as representing the party, namely for the withdrawal of the party from the composition of the coalition “DPS – A New Beginning“ and for participation in the coalition. This happened during a committee meeting today. The decision was supported by 12 votes "for" and two voted "against".

Thus, the application for the withdrawal of the party “DPS“ from the composition of the "DPS" coalition – A new beginning" submitted by Jevdet Chakarov at 17:00 on September 11, when the deadline for registration of parties and coalitions for the vote in October also expired, remained without consideration. During yesterday's CEC meeting, it became known that another application was received at 19:00 for DPS to remain in the coalition, which was also not considered.
The Election Commission has already complied with the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) and registered for participation in the elections "DPS - New Beginning". and refused independent participation of the DPS party.
At today's meeting of the CEC, Elka Stoyanova, who was the rapporteur on the file, indicated that the DPS can be represented by its two representatives, and the applications are contradictory.
These letters are in a certain type of time slot, which is limited by a CEC decision, according to which the submission of letters in connection with the registration of parties and coalitions ends at 5:00 p.m., commented Erhan Chaushev from the CEC. He requested a 20-minute interruption of the meeting in order to clarify the situation surrounding the commission's draft decision.
There is no way to leave applications in a different setting without consideration, Chaushev said after the resumption of the meeting.
