The PP-DB plan for the elections was developed in the summer at a meeting of the DSB executive board - because we do not trust each other with the other Euro-Atlantic powers, a neutral mechanism must be found to create regular power. A high-authority person should be sought, equidistant from the parties, to be relatively independent to impose the policies that must be carried out, and to find a unifying figure to start the procedure of creating a regular government, commented Atanasov.
We are proposing a very serious program and we want a rational campaign in order to shape the future of Bulgaria, urged Atanas Atanasov. He hopes that after the elections and before Christmas, Bulgaria will have a regular government.
"The failure of the rotation was the end of all gentlemanliness between PP-DB and GERB", Atanas Atanasov was categorical. PP-DB remains an opponent of GERB and will not allow Boyko Borisov to appoint a prime minister who only pushes buttons.
Atanas Atanasov pointed out that Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski's official authority is comfortable. Official power must be abolished because regular state power is needed. A Euro-Atlantic majority must be created to support our post-election plan, Atanasov insisted. He assured that the PP-DB coalition is stable.
Regarding the ringing pagers and the attacks in Lebanon, Atanasov thinks that DANS also added a bit of salt to the soup with the pagers. A war is being fought in the Middle East, people are being killed, infrastructure is being destroyed - it is terrible there and the great powers must make efforts to end the war in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine, he insisted and added that he hoped there would be no consequences for Bulgaria.
