The conditions for hiking in the mountains are good. This was announced by the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross. Temperatures are still around 5-6 degrees, and a moderate wind is blowing in the area of Mount Botev. Today, precipitation is not expected in the mountains, the PSS added.
Facilities in all mountain resorts are operational.
According to the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), the cloudiness over the mountains will break and decrease today. It will still be significant over the Rhodopes and Strandja. A moderate northeasterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at 1200 meters will be about 16°, at 2000 meters – about 8°.
