Dimitar Gardev: The green deal also crashed in the European Commission - 1

„When I was a deputy for the second time , Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev, together with Atanas Pekanov, came to us as official ministers and presented this plan. Even then, we told them that this cannot be done, because the things that were included in the plan cannot solve the problems of the Bulgarian energy sector. This reaction of ours is not a surprise, we have taken responsibility towards the department and these people. These BGN 500,000 will not go to the miners, because this is not a financial package that is related to improving the very structure of the thermal power plants with purification systems. This is about the construction of solar parks by 10 companies”.

This is what the candidate for MP from “There is such a people” commented to NOVA NEWS. Dimitar Gardev.

„We heard from 150 miners in parliament, we heard their reaction. If they thought that this money would go to them, they would have agreed to it, but these people were categorically against it,” he further explained.

According to Gardev from ITN, they visited the miners many times. “We went to the miners on site. This whole policy on emissions and the Green Deal also crashed in the European Commission because ideologies were at stake. When your competitors - China, the US, India and Turkey - don't even want to hear about this deal, it means you are on the wrong track, he explained.

Gardev also commented on the topic of anti-Bulgarian rhetoric from North Macedonia. “All the concessions that were made both by our party and by other parties led to the anti-Bulgarian rhetoric. The veto is from 32 negotiating chapters, and the Macedonians want to accept the Bulgarians as a nation-building nation, not a minority. This is the beginning of negotiations, not a condition for their conclusion. Mickoski wants to change the Constitution, but he did not understand that the negotiations are asymmetrical, he also said.

„Without a treaty of good neighborliness and friendship, there is no EU membership. No country will accept the free movement of people, capital, goods from another country that has declared that it is not its friend and partner. On this occasion, ITN's policy was very clear and it will continue, Gardev added.
