Today, at the invitation of CERN Director General Fabiola Gianotti, President Rumen Radev will be on a working visit to the Swiss Confederation to participate in the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the European Organization for Nuclear Research, dariknews.bg reported.
The event in Geneva will bring together heads of state and government of CERN member countries, associate members of the organization and political leaders from around the world.
During his visit, the head of state will meet with Bulgarian scientists who work at CERN. 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Bulgaria's membership in the organization, in which today around 100 Bulgarian scientists, engineers and technicians are engaged in various CERN projects.
