Burudzhieva: They will form a government, at least for a while - 1

The elections will end on October 27, no new elections will be held earlier than March-April. You can't drag out the procedure so much, so I think they will form a government, at least for a while. The question is not who will form a government, but for what. For the tenth time, the month of January – politicians won't do it to themselves. This was stated by the political scientist Tatiana Burudzhieva on the air of Nova TV, quoted by novini.bg.
„This election seems different to me. Although many more parties may enter, they do not matter much. The picture cleared – in the middle was GERB with a model that PP-DB tried to deal with and failed. The axis is different – at last the east-west axis became clear in politics. GERB is a cautious player in this area. On one side are PP-DB, on the other – “Revival”, the real battle is between them and it depends on where GERBwill stand. Finally, the East-West match will take place. Delyan Peevski doesn't play much anymore," comments media expert Georgi Lozanov.

According to him, it doesn't really matter who will be third and fourth.

„While we talk that there will be a government that will fight against corruption – well, with this one you can't, with that one you can't, and with PP you can't. The formula is classic – parties are elected to solve people's problems”, Burudzhieva believes.
“Peevski is relieved of his role – first, in the governance of the country, and second, in the governance of his party. This is a weakened position. DPS must get out of the focus of attention, Lozanov is categorical.

Burudzhieva added: „The DPS has been relieved of its function of being a balancer in Bulgarian politics and this is the end result of what happened. DPS is simply not the party it was created to be. Whatever happens, these two parts of the DPS will continue the fight for every vote and it will continue in the parliament as well.”
