The Sofia District Court imposed a measure of remand on bail in an amount of BGN 10,000 to the singer Diona for not accepting the summons sent to her to appear at the hearings in the case. The meeting was adjourned to November 6.
Her previous bail of BGN 5,000 is revoked in favor of the state.
Denislava Sashova - Diona is not present in the meeting room again today. Her lawyer produced a plane ticket and explained that she was currently out of the country. The judge in the case indicated that this was not a valid reason for absence, writes BTA.
The singer's defense lawyer pleaded for the hearing to be postponed, because on September 27, through an electronic portal, he submitted an application for access to the materials in the case, but he has not received one so far. The judge stated that this is not the only way for a lawyer to get acquainted with the documents in the case and it depends only on him when and in what way he will get acquainted with them.
Singer Diona has been charged for driving under the influence of drugs on January 24. Subsequently, her chemical-toxicology examination gave a positive result for cocaine.
