Ukraine's ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets called on international organizations to take a stand on reports that several Ukrainian prisoners of war have been executed in Russia's Kursk region, where Kiev forces entered in August, the Associated Press reported, cited by BTA.
The Ukrainian military analysis website “DeepState” (DeepState), which is close to Ukraine's Defense Ministry, reported that Russian soldiers shot and killed nine Ukrainian “drone operators and contractors” on October 10 after they surrendered.
Lubinets announced in the Telegram application that he had sent a letter to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regarding these reports of what he said was “another crime committed by the Russians”.
