After the elections on October 27, there will be a search for a consensus figure for the post of prime minister.

"Desire, if there is a cabinet to be made and a majority to be formed, a figure will be found, regardless of what demands they make now. The very fact that there is talk of a figure means that the major inconsistencies between the main initiators of such a majority have been overcome," commented political scientist Prof. Stoicho Stoichev in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".

The campaign is proceeding calmly, without aggressive messages, which is a prerequisite for post-election negotiations. According to him, the sought-after candidate for prime minister will be a person who is equally distant or acceptable to all the main political forces such as "Continuing the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" and GERD. Often such figures are chosen from the academic circles - professors of law or economics.

"It is entirely possible that a prime minister will be sought in these circles. Another issue is that their contradictions have not been overcome, but the parties have no choice. Everyone realizes that if they throw our country into elections one more time, the voters will kick them. In these elections we can expect less than 2 million voters, in the next one things will become unpredictable", said sociologist Kolyo Kolev to Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to Stoychev and Kolev, the most likely scenario is a coalition of three parties - "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria", GERB and another smaller formation. This will provide some stability, but does not exclude potential support from the DPS without formal participation in the cabinet. Some parties like BSP and DPS may change their positions to avoid new elections.

Both analysts are of the opinion that there is a basis for negotiation and compromise between the main parties.

During the conversation, data from a survey of electoral attitudes of "Mediana", realized with own funds and conducted between October 8 and 13 among 978 adult citizens, was used.
