Gutsanov: We will stop the looting and destruction of the Bulgarian energy industry - 1

"By 2050, the electricity needs of our country will increase twice. How can we satisfy them - only by building new capacities. Mostly nuclear, not with the destruction of the active ones. We will stop the looting and destruction of the Bulgarian energy sector, which is done by greed, incompetence and pathological servitude. BSP – UNITED LEFT is for postponing the liberalization of the household electricity market. What liberalization? For another thief and commissioner to appear! "
This position was expressed on Facebook by the leader of the lists of the left unification in Varna and Shumen, Borislav Gutsanov.
He pointed out that energy is a major topic both in the National Assembly and in life, and that it is a key part of the backbone of our economy, which is given special attention in the program "100 solutions for accelerated development of Bulgaria" on the left.
He focused on the positions of the left alliance for the strategic development of nuclear energy as the basis of Bulgaria's energy security - for the resumption of the "Belene" NPP project, not its brutal destruction and gifting it to Ukraine.
"Repairing the unique PAVETS "Chaira" hydropower plant is also mandatory, of which there are only three in the world - two in Japan and one in Bulgaria. It is an outrage that it is not in good working order!" Gutsanov was categorical.
He also pointed out that the BSP - UNITED LEFT will work to guarantee gas supplies to our country, regardless of where they come from, because for the socialists, the national interest and the development of the Bulgarian economy come first, not foreign interests. According to him, the renegotiation of the scandalous contract with Botash and the expansion of the gas storage facility in Chiren, including the expansion of our gas transmission and gas distribution network, is absolutely imperative in this area.
The socialist paid attention to the attempts of the rulers to sell our national interest and in line with our coal energy. Gutsanov stressed that for the left an important issue is the protection of the coal regions of our country and the renegotiation of the so-called scandalous "Green Deal". "If this deal remains as it is, it will completely destroy the Bulgarian thermal power plants, it will leave 40 thousand workers without work, and this would be another national betrayal," he categorically stated.
According to him, the left-wing coalition is in favor of banning the construction of photovoltaic power plants on fertile agricultural lands, as well as the placing of fins on them and in the sea.
"All this is possible with BSP - UNITED LEFT. On October 27, vote number 28 on the ballot. It's time for decisions!", stressed Borislav Gutsanov.
