Fierce fighting in Chasov Yar - 1

Fierce fighting is taking place in Chasov Yar. The situation is complex and tense, and the initiative is on the side of the Russian forces. 60% of the city's territory is under the control of Ukrainian armed forces, 30% is controlled by Russian units and 10% is the so-called a gray area where supremacy is constantly changing.

This was reported to TASS by the Russian military expert Andrey Marochko. Russian forces have entrenched themselves in the city's industrial area

The Russians are advancing slightly in the area of Stupochki south of Chasov Yar and in the area of Grigorovka.

Russian troops have cut off the supply route for the Ukrainian military in Chasov Yar, leading from Slavyansk.

„The highway from Slavyansk to Chasov Yar was cut off, it was one of the important routes through which the enemy was supplied,” the security forces reported.

They specified that the roads in the western part of the city are also used to transport forces and supply the Ukrainian armed forces, but are also under the fire control of the Russian armed forces.

A Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked with missiles armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) in the Kursk region, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced. Armored vehicles and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

The city of Kupyansk in Ukraine's Kharkiv region continues to be the most tense point on the map of military operations, Marochko added.

„There are indeed battles ahead,”, he added.

Marochko added that Ukrainian soldiers were carrying out artillery strikes in the area of the Zaoskole railway station.

„Artillery strikes are directed where the enemy has already lost control. Their effectiveness is extremely low, as our military finds ways to hide from enemy artillery, but civilian infrastructure, of course, suffers - and a lot," said the military expert.
