The sixth unit of the “Kozloduy” will be stopped for a scheduled annual repair, which is expected to last from today until the end of November, BGNES reported.
The shutdown has been coordinated with the “Electricity System Operator” EAD.
During the downtime, the planned repair works and the necessary technical maintenance, ensuring the operability of the equipment and the safe and reliable operation of the unit, are to be carried out. All events are conducted in accordance with license obligations and the requirements of technological regulations for safe operation. The sixth unit reactor will be reloaded with fresh nuclear fuel for the next 30th fuel campaign, the plant informed.
