The trial against Kiril Petkov has been delayed a lot and the prosecution really needs to explain why this happened so that there is no speculation that this is a political attack.
This was stated on the show "Face to Face" on bTV the former head of the National Security Service Tsvetlin Yovchev, who commented on today's appearance of Kiril Petkov at the prosecutor's office due to the arrest of Boyko Borisov, quoted by novini.bg.
"The Prime Minister cannot order the police officers how to conduct the investigation. Kiril Petkov issued an unlawful order. In this case, everyone is guilty, because the investigating police officers should have refused to carry out unlawful orders. No one has the right to order these people and accordingly they should not carry out these orders. For me, they should also bear responsibility. Including the former Minister of the Interior Boyko Rashkov, who should have intervened. I cannot say whether this case will stand up in court. I have no idea what evidence has been collected," he added. "The case with Kiril Petkov's sensei seems to me more like this person went there, said some things and then kept repeating - I saved you from arrest and you owe me a favor. There is no way this person could know who the court panel will be and guarantee that they will fix things. And even more so, stand in front of all the media and say these things. We shouldn't pay so much attention to this incident. There have always been and will always be people like that," Yovchev said regarding the words of sensei Yavor Dyankov to Kiril Petkov. "Let me just tell you, everything is settled, you won't have to worry, it's been said. Keep your head up! "We've got things figured out with your father, you know," the sensei addressed Petkov, minutes before the PP leader entered the prosecutor's office for questioning.
"The situation in Syria poses a risk for Bulgaria and always has, but at the moment this risk is not so great. I believe that my colleagues have taken all measures and actions. At the moment we cannot talk about a mass return of refugees to Syria. It is still unclear what is happening there, the homes of these people have been destroyed, and many of them have already become attached to the social systems of Western countries and they like it that way", concluded Tsvetlin Yovchev.
