Disturbing data on domestic violence. This year alone, reports have increased by an average of 15 per month, according to a report by the Ministry of the Interior.
Until September of this year, there were a total of 3,460 protection orders issued. For the whole of last year, there were 4,429. Most often, the victims were women. There are 2,778 women, 982 children and 427 men with a permanent or immediate protection order this year.
Seven times more men are violent than women sanctioned for domestic violence. There are nearly 3,000 male perpetrators against the background of 400 women.
And during the whole of last year, there were 3,838 men who committed violence, and 489 women.
Last year, after the case of Deborah in Stara Zagora, the domestic violence law added the intimate relationship, in which the victims must also receive protection.
