A day for reflection before the early vote for the National Assembly. We choose between 28 formations - 19 parties and 9 coalitions, there is also one independent candidate. The number of candidates for deputies in the new 51st parliament is 4858.
Tomorrow at 7:00 am the sections open. They will remain open until 8pm unless there is a line out front, then a slight extension is possible.
Are we ready with the organization of the election day tomorrow?
„The Central Election Commission is ready for election day. All papers and materials will be provided to the sectional election commissions today. Machines will be provided in the machine voting sections. Polling stations abroad will also be prepared”. This was stated in “This Saturday” the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kamelia Neikova.
“Regardless of the time change tonight – I expect the election day tomorrow to start normally”, she pointed out.
All the machines left the warehouse yesterday, the electronic bulletins were installed.
According to Neikova, there is no way the machine vote can be revoked, and a third of all machines were randomly checked by experts from the state administration during the installation in the warehouse.
The problems that have arisen over time are with the printer, with the cutting of the ballots, but the percentage is quite low.
Camellia Neikova indicated that testing was done on machines where a problem occurred and, according to experts, one of the reasons for it was the accumulation of dust in the printers.
The contractor was assigned preventive maintenance, which also cleans the equipment from dust.
There are no spare machines in the polling stations. If any machine breaks down, it will switch to paper ballot voting.
Machines that have previously given a defect will not be used. The damaged machines have not been repaired, however, because of the frequency of elections in our country - there is not enough physical time.
89,216 people have applied to vote at the current address. And according to Kamelia Neikova, there are no dead souls on the electoral rolls.
