A thorough investigation revealed serious discrepancies between video recordings of the ballot counting and official records in several polling stations. Party "Greatness" failed to pass the 4 percent barrier to enter parliament, falling just 21 votes short. The investigation found that at least 28 of their votes were misallocated to other political parties.
In sections in Plovdiv-city, Plovdiv-region, Ruse and Sofia, cases were registered in which the votes for "Greatness" were recorded in the columns of the Socialist Party "Bulgarian Path" and "Bulgari".
In one of the sections in Plovdiv-city, the video clearly shows the following count: "Number 4 totals 9. But these are total. Here you will write 102 two numbers. And from these 9, two numbers will be subtracted and become 7 without preference." In the subsequent protocols, these nine votes were recorded for the "Bulgarian Path" Socialist Party.
In the Plovdiv region, the video recording documents: "Four. Four. Four. Fourth number with preference 101 - three, with 113 - one. Three remain without, and the total number is six." These six votes are subsequently reflected in the "Bulgari" column, including preferences.
A similar situation was registered in Ruse, where the record shows: "There are 6 fourths with preferences: 108, 108 - two preferences for 108. Two for 108 and 4 without preferences." After adding the machine vote: "By number. First up is number four. Number four - two." All these votes are recorded in the column of "Bulgari".
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has taken steps to clarify the situation by asking the "Information Service" detailed information on video surveillance during the counting of ballots. A detailed analysis of the location of the cameras and the areas without internet connection is awaited.
