The weather episode that caused the terrible floods that killed nearly 100 people in the province of Valencia, in southeastern Spain, is “not over yet&rdquo ;, the Spanish King Felipe VI said today, quoted by France Press.

The King once again expressed his “dismay at the disaster” which befell the Valencia region on Tuesday evening and yesterday night.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has urged residents of the Valencia region, which has been ravaged by deadly floods, to “stay in their homes” as the risk is still there.
The bad weather that caused the floods “continues”, Sanchez told reporters at the end of his visit to the city of Valencia, which registered the highest number of victims (92 out of 95).
„Please stay at home [...] listen to the instructions of the emergency services,” he urged.
The death toll, currently at 95, will rise due to the number of people still missing, whose exact number has not been specified by the authorities, but according to Spanish media it could be in the tens.
„Unfortunately, there are dead people in some vehicles,”, said Spanish Transport Minister Oscar Puente in relation to the hundreds of cars and trucks stuck on roads covered in mud.
The consequences of flooding are very similar to the damage caused by a strong hurricane or tsunami, the Associated Press points out.
