The lawyers of Ceyhan Ibryamov, who is part of the DPS faction around Ahmed Dogan, have submitted a request to change his remand.
Ibryamov has been under arrest since the beginning of October on charges of influence peddling. As a new basis for the request that he be released, his defense has indicated his election as a deputy in the 51st National Assembly by the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms.
The Sofia City Court is about to rule in an open session.
If Ceyhan Ibryamov continues to be detained until the first session of the Parliament, the prosecutor's office will provide him with the opportunity, if he wants, to take an oath, they told "Horizont" from the state prosecution.
From there, they did not specify whether he will be taken to the building of the National Assembly with handcuffs and members of the Judicial Guard, with the reason that the assessment of this will be up to the prosecutor overseeing the case, when a request is received from Ibryamov himself.
