The world-famous Bulgarian violinist Vasko Vassilev said that his property in the Spanish city of Valencia was not affected from the catastrophic flooding that hit the region. "My house in Valencia is undamaged by the ominous flood. All my friends and their properties have miraculously escaped the water apocalypse. He just somehow bypassed our neighborhood 'Nazaret'", the musician told the newspaper "Bulgaria Dnes".

At the time of the natural disaster, the virtuoso was in Bulgaria, but for two days he did not blink, following the news broadcasts on the development of the situation in the third largest Spanish city.

According to Vassilev's description, his home is a typical two-story Spanish house. "It is entered directly from the street, there is no fence and water can easily enter the home, but fortunately, there is no damage," says the musician, known as the Bulgarian Paganini. He adds: "I've been talking to everyone for two days, I've heard from all my friends and I'm grateful to God that they're alive and well.

According to eyewitnesses with whom the musician spoke, the incoming water carried with it trees, sheet metal and mud, washing away cars and houses on its way. The streets were turned into rivers. The natural disaster has disrupted railways and highways and left more than 100,000 households without electricity. However, the "Nazareth" area, where Vasilev's property is located, was relatively spared from the elements caused by a cold atmospheric front.
