We should not be naive that the insolence of steroids in Bulgarian politics, which a few days ago was shouting through a megaphone against the institutions in the center of Sofia, will be realized, will disappear by itself either due to a collision with some other of its kind, or under the pressure of some new sanctions list . This was stated by President Rumen Radev.
Here's what else he says:
The development of Bulgaria as a democratic country is entirely our responsibility. Even the fathers of the constitutional changes disowned their offspring. So this case will inevitably be examined by the Constitutional Court, but we have all already seen what it means to have a government without clear political responsibility.
The practice of appointing a “acting official” is becoming more frequent, bypassing the requirements for the issuance of a presidential decree. Such decisions are contrary to constitutional expediency, bypass the principles of the mandate and powers of the head of state, and even cancel guarantees for the independence of some bodies. There are already quite a few such cases, among which are the acting chief prosecutor and the temporary manager of the Bulgarian embassy in Ukraine.
