The changes to the Law on the Judiciary are entering the second reading in the plenary hall according to the draft program for the week of the parliament.

Yesterday, the parliamentary legal committee unanimously adopted on the second reading in the transitional and final provisions of the law the possibility of terminating the initiated procedure for the election of the Prosecutor General. The deputies wrote: "The initiated procedures under Art. 173, para. 1, which have not been completed with a presidential decree on appointment by the date of promulgation of this law, are terminated". It is planned that within six months of the entry into force of this law, the National Assembly and the judicial authorities will begin a procedure for a new election of members of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The extension of the budget for last year is also expected to be discussed.

The topic of bread and its VAT has again entered the National Assembly. It was raised by Yordan Tsonev, reports novini.bg.

"I understand that the duties of the chairman are many, but legislation and caring for the people should be your priority and I don't see anything more important for the people than the daily life", he told Natalia Kiselova. And she replied that only a Commission can add an item to the agenda, after considering it, it can be included.

"Stop justifying yourself with some committees. Get something done in this parliament. People will pay high bills because of you too. You are making fun of people's bread. No one in this country has ever allowed themselves to do this. Shame on you!", Hamid Hamid told her.

The deputies refused today to extend by one month the term of the Temporary Committee for the Verification and Establishment of Facts and Circumstances Regarding the Found Outbreaks of Peste in Small Ruminants and Small Ruminant Smallpox in the Territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. The draft resolution to extend the work of the committee by one month was also rejected during the vote with 73 votes “for“, 90 “against“ and 47 “abstains“. Among the reasons for the requested extension was the need to hear a large number of officials, experts in the field of health and animals, as well as representatives of the affected countries. The Speaker of the National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova, explained that after the refusal to extend the term of operation, the temporary committee should submit a report on its activities.
