Raya Nazaryan (GERB-SDS) and Silvi Kirilov (“There is such a people”) are again in the run-off for Speaker of the Parliament. Before the second round of the optional procedure, a 15-minute break was given, BTA reports.
In the seventh attempt to elect the chairman, there were again four candidates for the post. GERB-SDS proposed Raya Nazaryan, "Revival" raised Petar Petrov, "There is such a people" did not back down from their candidate Silvi Kirilov, but after the impossibility of reaching an agreement on a single candidacy, “BSP-United Left“ once again nominated Natalia Kiselova for the post.
With the most votes after the first round were Raya Nazaryan and Silvi Kirilov. 69 MPs voted for the GERB-SDS candidate, 161 were “against“ and eight abstained. The nomination of “There is such a people” 66 MPs supported, 114 were “against” and 58 abstained.
Natalia Kiselova received 50 votes “for“, 113 “against“ and 74 “abstained”. 46 MPs supported Petar Petrov, 130 were “against“ and 62 abstained.
