At an average price of 268.79 BGN (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour, electricity was traded today on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX) in the "Day Ahead" market segment, according to data after the exchange closed. The deals are based on tomorrow's delivery day - February 2.
The Energy Exchange closed yesterday at an average price of 247.35 BGN per megawatt-hour. This means that electricity for Bulgarian businesses will be 8 percent more expensive tomorrow compared to today's price.
The average price of peak energy (09:00-20:00) for tomorrow is 274.11 BGN. per megawatt-hour, while for the hours (01:00-08:00; 21:00-24:00), which are outside the peak period, it was traded at an average of 263.47 BGN per megawatt-hour.
