Borisov's deal - tsar or magician - 1
FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

GERB took the initiative to resume negotiations on forming a coalition government, but only with the BSP and ITN. “Democratic Bulgaria“ (DB) somehow became a little unnecessary with its claims. And their place can now be said to be taken by “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms“ of the people around Ahmed Dogan.

Let's remember something else. GERB announced that it would resume negotiations with “Democratic Bulgaria” if the formation accepts the candidacy of Rosen Zhelyazkov for prime minister, and the election of Borislav Sarafov for prosecutor general officially becomes a bargaining chip in the negotiation process.

Simply put.
Option one: Zhelyazkov – Prime Minister, Sarafov does not become Prosecutor General.
Option two: Zhelyazkov – does not become Prime Minister, Sarafov becomes Prosecutor General.

Tsar or magician – choose for yourself
It's nice to be a king! That's what they say on the Island, because they have one. But this is also true. The Prime Minister is a kind of king (we've already seen that) in our country. And is there a greater magician than the Prosecutor General? Yes, and…

Figuratively speaking, Borisov's proposal to the State Duma is this - I want to have a king and if you don't want me to have a king, you will have to come to terms with a common magician for everyone. Borisov is fine with both.

The offer was rejected by the State Duma because they wanted to first negotiate a coalition agreement, and then talk about a king, sorry Prime Minister. GERB's offer was that they would support the changes to the Electoral Code and the Judiciary Law if the DB agreed to Rosen Zhelyazkov becoming a king, sorry, prime minister.

Then GERB (69 MPs) announced that talks were continuing only with ITN (18) and BSP (20). And here the people around Ahed Dogan from “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms“ (19) reached out. Dogan's MRF is completely sufficient in the four to have 126 votes in parliament and form a cabinet. The question is how acceptable they are. After all, they were part of that MRF that no longer exists.

Here the question is whether Borisov, respectively GERB, will ask to have both a king and a magician, accepting Dogan's support. Is the distribution of portions in power starting... As Ahmed Dogan likes to say.
