Football club Marek and the head coach Anatoli Nankov reached an agreement to terminate the contract between them by mutual consent. announced the sports director of the second division team, Milen Lahchev, BTA reported.
" Mr. Anatoli Nankov and I have come to an understanding and we are parting with good feelings and with respect. We thank him for the work done and wish him success in the future," said Lahchev.
The 55-year-old Nankov took over the team in June, after previously in the spring for about a month and a half he was an assistant in the staff of Stamen Belchev in CSKA-Sofia.
The reason for the decision was the unsatisfactory performance of Dupničani recently. Marek occupies the 12th place in the Second League with 16 points after 12 rounds, but since the beginning of September, the team has achieved only one victory in seven games played, and on Sunday they were also eliminated in the first round of the Bulgarian Cup tournament after a defeat by 1: 3 from FC Kyustendil.
Lakhchev and the previous assistant coach Svetoslav Georgiev will temporarily lead the team until a new permanent coach is appointed.
