The Israeli army announced last night that it had killed three members of the Iranian-backed Lebanese Shiite group "Hezbollah" in southern Lebanon, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
According to the Israeli military, one of the killed was a man from the Kafra area and is believed to be a local representative of "Hezbollah". He had rented houses for weapons storage and surveillance, the military said.
In another Israeli air strike, two more suspected members of "Hezbollah" were killed. According to the Israeli military, they were engineers who participated in the reconstruction of terrorist infrastructure in Lebanon.
DPA notes that this information cannot be confirmed by independent sources.
A ceasefire has been in place between Israel and Hezbollah since the end of November last year, although the two sides regularly accuse each other of violations.
Israel continues its almost daily operations in Lebanon, accusing Hezbollah of trying to restore its military capacity in the south of the country.
In August this year, the Lebanese government approved a US-backed plan to disarm Hezbollah.
