"Hamas" said that an Israeli proposal, which was handed to him by mediators from Egypt and Qatar, did not meet Palestinian demands, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
In a statement released early this morning, the Islamist movement regretted Israel's unwillingness to make any compromises.
"Hamas" however, he promised to study the Israeli proposal and give his answer to the mediators.
Representatives of Israel, the Palestinian Islamist movement, the United States, Egypt and Qatar began another round of talks on Sunday in an attempt to reach a cease-fire in Gaza and the release of hostages taken in the attack by "Hamas" in Israel on October 7, notes France Press. A media outlet close to the Egyptian authorities reported "significant progress" in the discussions in the capital Cairo, but did not give details.
Yesterday a representative of "Hamas" denied that progress had been made in the negotiations.
